Working in NAIT’s Department ofStudent Learning Success reporting to the Assessment Services Supervisor, thisposition is focused on internal and external exam invigilation administration,correspondence to emails and phone and a wide spectrum related to theAssessment Centre business.
A successfulcandidate for this position will be self-motivated, detail-oriented and, aboveall, a strong team player. Well-developed communication skills, a desire to deliver both excellentcustomer service and administrative support will also be critical tosuccess.
KeyResponsibilities :
- Act as a point of contact forincoming inquiries to Assessment Services; provide information to students,schools and program areas related to exam schedules, procedures, etc.
- Schedule and administer exams
- Ensure compliance with appropriateprocedures, testing standards and security measures
- Maintain confidentiality of studentrecords and documentation
- Assist in coordinating assessmentschedules with program areas and off campus assessments
- Assist with bookings for onlinecourses and communicate with instructors regarding online student examschedules
- Work directly with students to findsuitable solutions to exam conflicts
- Maintain up-to-date databaseinformation on available invigilators
- Aid in sending midterm and finalexams to external invigilators and ensure exams are returned to courseinstructors for grading
- Assist daily with IELTS processesand procedures
- General administrative duties suchas supplies requisitioning, office equipment maintenance, developing andmaintaining student files and records, attending meetings, preparing agendas,and correspondence
Skills& Abilities :
- Significant knowledge of the related policies,guidelines, and procedures
- Significant knowledge of related administrativetheories and principals
- Knowledge of related software
- Good understanding of related customer service methodsand techniques
- Good understanding of office equipment
Qualifications :
- Completion of grade twelve
- Related post-secondary certificateor diploma, preferably a diploma in Business or Office Management
- Minimum 3 years’ related experience
- Equivalencies may be considered
Remuneration : $48,257.04- $62,451.48 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package. (Classification Administrative Support V).
Thisposition is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE)Collective Agreement.
