Our client is seeking an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join their growing team in Sudbury, Ontario.
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be a key member of a multi-disciplinary team, working with various clients to complete feasibility and detailed engineering work on mine ventilation and cooling projects.
You will also be part of the global Automation team, supporting, contributing, and commissioning local and international projects.
Your Main Tasks :
- Design low voltage electrical schematics and limited medium voltage switchgear integration.
- Design electrical field distribution, including cable sizing, cable tray sizing and routing, lighting, and grounding systems.
- Review and contribute to other electrical and instrumentation designs.
- Write specifications for switchgear, MCCs, transformers, and other electrical components.
- Generate material take-offs, cost bills of materials, and write scope of works for electrical and instrumentation supply and installations.
- Perform any other related tasks.

Requirements :
- Minimum of 5-7 years of related working experience; experience in the mining industry is advantageous.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university.
- Professional Engineering (P.Eng) registration is beneficial or in the process of obtaining it within 1-18 months.
- International candidates will be considered if they undergo WES to review international credentials to qualify for P.Eng upon arrival in Canada.
The client will support the immigration process, including LMIA, flights, accommodation, and a rental car upon arrival, and assistance in obtaining a work permit.
Ability to travel and visit underground mines.
