A large, publicly traded organization with significant Canadian operations is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join its Canadian tax team based in the eastern GTA.
This is a permanent, in-house role offering hands‑on exposure to Canadian corporate tax, sales tax, and quarterly tax provision work within a stable and well‑established business.
The Opportunity
This role is part of a lean Canadian tax function and the Senior Tax Analyst will work closely with senior tax leadership and internal finance teams, while interacting periodically with a U.S.-based corporate tax group for reporting purposes.
This opportunity is well suited for candidates coming from public accounting or early industry experience who are looking to transition into a long‑term industry role without losing technical depth.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly Canadian tax provisions under US GAAP
- Prepare Canadian corporate income tax returns (federal and provincial)
- Calculate and prepare monthly tax installments
- Prepare and file Canadian commodity tax returns (GST / HST, QST, PST)
- Support foreign reporting and information returns (e.g., T1134 and related filings)
- Assist with tax compliance for foreign affiliates
- Respond to CRA and provincial tax authority inquiries
- Maintain tax working papers and supporting documentation
- Monitor changes in Canadian tax legislation and regulations
Requirements
