Your role :

The Software Asset Management Coordinator is responsible for the development and management of a software asset management (SAM) practice in line with industry standards.

They will track, manage, audit, and report on Global Relay’s software assets. These software assets will be inclusive of, but not limited to, licensed and Open Source software.

You will work closely with other teams, such as Procurement, Finance, and Legal to ensure SAM data is available to support business decisions.

Your job :

  • Design and execute software asset management policies, procedures, and processes
  • Monitor and maintain SAM related inventory and discovery tools
  • Interpret and capture software license entitlements
  • Identify, track and communicate software related risks
  • Prepare data to assist senior stakeholders in planning and budgeting exercises
  • Document and monitor the lifecycle of software licenses to ensure Global Relay’s compliance with vendor license agreements
  • Capture, document, and monitor the lifecycle of software maintenance and support contracts
  • Provide information as needed to assist in audit-compliance activities
  • Work with the information security team to ensure Global Relay's adherence to all regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain a SAM roadmap to anticipate renewals and saving opportunities

About you :

  • 3-5 years of experience working in a similar position
  • Hands on experience implementing / maintaining a SAM tool
  • Experience creating effective license positions in large environments with complex infrastructures
  • Familiarity with SAM standards such as ISO
  • Experience working with complex datasets
  • Analytically and strategically minded with strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work both collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently in an effective and organized manner
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Experience working in an environment with formally structured IT Operational processes : work request ticket management, incident management

Compensation :

Global Relay advertises the pay range for this role in accordance with the pay transparency laws of the province of British Columbia.

In addition to the annual base salary (range listed below), compensation for this role also includes a corporate bonus, extended health benefits, and RRSP Matching, and (for applicable Sales roles) an enticing commission structure.

British Columbia - Base Salary Range : $60,000 $75,000 CAD
