Toromont Cat is looking for a Parts Technical Specialist to join our team! The Parts Technical Specialist will provide lead role to all Parts technical inquiries and will collaborate with Product Support Operation Leaders, including Mine sites, across ECAN to ensure timely Parts technical inquiry resolution and best in class parts technical support, training to our Toromont Parts people across all verticals and Product Lines.

In a typical day, YOU will :
Model the way for health and safety, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviors in support of Toromont's Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives, ensure to provide insights on incident issues if they include Parts issue.
Provide leadership in the Parts Technical Training to ensure KPI targets are met by training, coaching our Parts people and Mining Analysts to meet and exceed customer and business expectations and how to utilize Machine Parts List.
Increase customer experience and follow up on quality of Parts Technical support with branch operational leadership. Document, with the support of the branches such issues and establish action plans that will lead to permanent solutions.
Identify and resolve issues by initiating corrective actions when necessary, working closely with Caterpillar Product Group to determine alternate solutions for non-available parts.
Act as a main point of contact between Toromont and Caterpillar Parts Engineering to ensure Parts issues and problems are communicated and resolutions occur in a timely fashion.
The main lead role for all Parts Portions of the NPI process throughout Toromont Territories. Supply Branches with RDSL to all new units.
Coordinate with Caterpillar all MPI review to facilitate add-to-stock decisions based on CAT recommendations.
Review and decide on large dollar component purchases to validate requirement and properly identify alternate solution.
Identify alternate parts for customers for discontinued or multi configuration items.
Must-haves for this role :
5 years’ experience in Parts processes.
Mechanical engineering background study or equivalent
Caterpillar machinery knowledge
Strong Technical aptitude
Exceptional communication skills
Experience in CAT Parts systems
