JOB SUMMARY
Senior Analysts are responsible for analysis of investment reporting, acquisitions, developments, and dispositions of seniors housing, and age-restricted multifamily assets.
Key responsibilities include underwriting potential acquisition and development opportunities; operator / client credit analysis;
review and analysis of business plans, management teams, budgets and financial statements, both at the individual property and portfolio level.
The Investment Team is at the forefront of the growth of the business and has ownership of working on all new investments from the initial valuation and deal structuring through detailed due diligence and closing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Transaction Support :
- Assist throughout the full transaction cycle to assess and execute acquisition and development opportunities of senior housing assets and age-restricted multi-family opportunities across Canada.
- Conduct in-depth market research, property underwriting, and due diligence processes.
- Prepare and present investment committee submissions.
Financial and Market Analysis :
- Perform detailed financial analysis and forecasting to support investment decisions.
- Conduct market analysis, site selection, demographic, and utilization analysis.
- Prepare and analyze investment data to form strategic plans both at the property level and the portfolio level.
Asset Management :
- Support ongoing asset management by monitoring and evaluating operator and property performance.
- Assist with annual budgeting and periodic reporting.
- Summarize and report asset management findings to management.
- Participate in monthly and quarterly meetings with operators.
Investment Performance Monitoring :
- Provide continued support in monitoring the performance of investments.
- Summarize and report asset management findings to management.
Deal Process Management :
- Support the management of the deal process, including reviewing legal documents and managing transaction timelines.
- Interface with customers and investors as needed.
Strategic Planning and Reporting :
- Assist in strategic and tactical analysis of new markets and segments.
- Participate in the preparation and presentation of investment committee submissions.
- Produce comprehensive reports summarizing market conditions and investment performance.
Cross-Departmental and International Collaboration :
- Assist with cross-departmental activities in the US and UK as required.
- Engage in strategic and tactical analysis of new markets and segments.

TRAVEL

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience in commercial real estate or healthcare investing.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in real estate modeling including valuations, returns, and waterfall distributions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
