Responsibilities
- Lead distribution pole setting, including operation and oversight of boom trucks, mini excavators, mini dump trucks and various off‑road machines for the construction and maintenance of distribution lines in both energized and de‑energized environments.
- Load, provide guidance and/or assist in the loading, transportation and unloading of equipment and materials moved in compliance with federal and provincial regulations and ensure associated documentation is complete and accurate.
- Perform routine inspections, minor repairs and service of equipment as necessary and maintain the vehicle logbook for all vehicles operated; assist others with labor‑related duties when not operating equipment.
Qualifications
- Valid Class 1E Driver’s License with Airbrake Endorsement.
- Equivalence of training and experience may be considered; minimum qualifications may be modified based on competition response.
- Eligibility list generated from this competition may be used to fill future vacancies at the same level within up to 12 months.
