The Indirect Sourcing (Procurement) Manager will develop and execute global strategic plans by leveraging your experience, market intelligence, industry knowledge and cross-functional collaboration.
A Day in the Life
Manage, develop, monitor and pursue tactical and strategic initiatives / projects ,including but not limited to supplier relationship development / management, new product introduction, risk management, and contract negotiation / execution for assigned supplier categories
Prepare analytical reports, forecasts and supplier / customer dashboards as required to monitor the categories, suppliers, or strategic initiatives
Manage risk and supplier performance within assigned categories utilizing RFIs / RFPs, conducting supplier risk reviews and performance scorecards and creating / implementing relationship mapping
Support policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements at a global scale
Collaborates across the organization to prioritize activities and drive cost savings / avoidance, productivity, and / or revenue maximization as required
Collaborate with internal customers to determine property requirements and expectations
Negotiate, write and execute supplier contracts for assigned projects in conjunction with Corporate Legal
Assist in the development and implementation of solutions to identified issues
Identify and develop qualified diverse suppliers
Identify alternative products or processes to support company sustainability initiatives
Requirements
7+ years’ experience in sourcing, procurement, category management, vendor relationship management, and / or related experience in channel management or sales operations roles
BA / BS degree in related field is strongly preferred, or equivalent work experience
Experience conducting bid processes (RFx’s and informal bids) and negotiating supplier agreements, as required
Experience with processes and best practices related to professional services / staff augmentation, technology agreements, or comparable contract management software is a plus
Experience with supplier diversity and sustainability is an asset
Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills across all levels
Proven quantitative and analytical skill set with the ability to review ambiguous data, formulate a story and drive results
Experience with negotiating and contracting, mapping stakeholder requirements to contractual terms
Applies advanced knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to manage a wide variety of projects in different stages
Participates in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goals
Recommends new practices, processes, metrics, or models
Works on or may lead complex projects of large scope with minimal supervision
Independently determines the method for completion of new projects
Be a champion of inclusion, diversity and sustainability
Proficiency with SAP (S / 4Hana), MS Office 365 (Power BI, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
