Position : Program Coordinator Non Profit
Location : Downtown (hybrid)
Salary : $50K to $55K per year
Our client, a leading government subsidized employment help center in Montreal dedicated to supporting individuals who lost their jobs, are unemployed or seeking to re-enter the workforce, is currently seeking a compassionate and tech-savvy Program Coordinator to join their team.
The Program Coordinator will play a crucial role in providing empathetic support and guidance to individuals seeking assistance with job search and reintegration into the workforce.
Responsibilities :
- Serve as the primary point of contact for individuals contacting the organization for employment assistance, demonstrating empathy and understanding throughout all interactions.
- Assess the eligibility of callers for the organization fully subsidized programs, ensuring they meet the criteria set by Services Québec.
- Conduct thorough onboarding processes for new candidates, gathering necessary information and explaining the range of services and resources available to them.
- Provide personalized coaching and guidance to candidates, listening attentively to their concerns and offering support tailored to their needs.
- Utilize technology proficiently to manage candidate databases, schedule appointments, and maintain accurate records of interactions and progress.
- Collaborate closely with other team members to ensure seamless coordination of services and resources for clients.
- Participate actively in the development and implementation of outreach strategies to engage and assist individuals in need of employment support.
- Contribute to the administrative tasks necessary for the efficient operation of the organization office and programs.
Qualifications :
- Previous experience in a client-facing role, experience non-profit organization or social services environment an asset.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong empathy and compassion, coupled with a genuine desire to support others in their journey towards employment.
- Proficiency in technology, including Microsoft Office suite and database management systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, with strong organizational and time management skills.
