IATA’sobjective is to be become the center of excellence and reference for safety andoperational data. As such we are looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Managerwhose role will be to develop and launch to market a business intelligenceproduct offering related to safety and operational data and analytics.

Reportingto Principal, Safety and Operational Analytics, the incumbent will beresponsible for developing and launching BI and Data solutions based on thedata collected through various safety and operational data sharingprograms.

It is a project-based positioncurrently in place until April 2025,with a possibility of being converted to a permanent position within theBusiness Intelligence Service line of business in the event of a successful projectoutcome.

We arelooking for someone with expertise in technical product development as well asproduct management experience to successfully develop, launch and position newBI & Data services in the market.

What your day would be like

Conduct market analysis to size various targeted market segments, understand their needs and develop a corresponding product roadmap

Accountable for the revenue target of BI dashboards

Develop a commercial strategy and product launch plan including product positioning, business model and a commercial pipeline.

Monitor competitive landscape and adjust product / market fit as required

Work with IT and the project team to design and develop a BI platform prototype

Develop business and technical requirements for a full scope BI and Data solution and work with IT and the project team to implement it

Work with various internal stakeholders to ensure project support and delivery

Keep abreast of any developments related to machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data intelligence programs, especially in the field of aviation safety and data operational analytics

Participate in promoting IATA operational and safety data analytics offering at various events, conferences, and forums to generate awareness and increase the uptake of a commercial BI and data offering

We would love to hear from you if

University degree in aviation, engineering, management, business administration or IT

7 years of solid work experience in Product Management and Product Development with P&L ownership in data, business intelligence, SAAS or IT

Aviation background and general understanding of safety and airline operations and the respective data sets is a major asset

Solid technical background and experience with all stages of the BI and Data product development process and software development life cycle

Excellent commercial acumen and proven ability to launch successful data products and services

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, quick learner and self-starter
