Southern Interior Construction Association is a non-profit membership-based organization representing companies in the Institutional, Commercial, and Industrial construction sector.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Bookkeeper / Administrator is responsible for :

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Bookkeeping full cycle of recording financial transactions up to the financial statements which includes :

Accounts payable, accounts receivables (billing, collections); reconcile financial records; journal entries; bank deposits and reconciliations;

GST and PST filing; yearend financial working papers.

Administrative Functions

Membership management

Responsible for the accuracy and updating of all member information in database; assist with renewing current memberships;

follow up with new, potential and resigned members; prepare and send out membership kits

Member service

  • Reception tasks in taking phone calls and assisting members with requests.
  • General administrative duties, or other duties assigned.
  • At least three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience;
  • Knowledge of SAGE50 software;
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint);
  • Highly detail oriented; ability to multi-task and manage priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
