About the Role

We're looking for a talented and passionate Graphic Designer to join our dynamic team. You'll play a vital role in crafting a cohesive visual language that reflects our brand identity and elevates the user experience across all touchpoints.

In this role, you'll create engaging brand and marketing materials, and ensure the company's brand story resonates with our target audience.

You have a passion for photography and videography to create visual content that is impactful and memorable. Depending on the candidate, this role may be combined with UX / UI designer.

Responsibilities

Visual Storytelling & Brand Identity

• Develop visually compelling graphics and user interfaces that embody the company's brand values and core messaging.
• Design eye-catching product packaging that effectively communicates the benefits of the company's electric boat motors to potential customers.
• Develop videos and work with a 3-D animator to support animations.
• Use AI to create engaging videos and collaborate with an in-house animator to bring concepts and products to life.

Creative Design and Execution

• Work with marketing to produce original creative assets for diverse media including our website, paid and organic social media, email, and print materials.
• Support the engineering team in the development of user manuals, technical spec sheets, etc.

Campaign Development

• Create original design campaigns that resonate with our audience and maintain coherence across different mediums.
• Work with the marketing team to build visual content for demand generation and social media.

Technical Skills & Collaboration

• Possess a strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, information architecture, and layout composition to create effective visual communication.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools like Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), InVision, or similar is essential.
• Familiarity with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and their impact on design implementation is a plus.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (marketing, engineering) to understand project requirements, provide creative solutions, and deliver high-quality designs on time.

Staying Ahead of the Curve

• Stay updated on industry trends in graphic design principles to ensure the company's visual identity and digital products remain innovative and engaging.
• Maintain a keen awareness of current web and mobile design trends, responsive design principles, and best practices for usability and accessibility.

Other duties as may be required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Proven experience (3-5 years) as a Graphic Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing your ability to create both visually appealing designs that meet business objectives.
• Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout composition.
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing is a plus.
• Familiarity with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously within a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of AI tools is a plus.
• Passion for sustainability and a desire to contribute to the company's mission of advancing electric boating is a plus.
