Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Developers

DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST - STATEMENT OF WORK - SPECIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS :

Description of the initiative / objectives

Our customer is looking for strong hands on technical resources who can lead SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) development work.

The candidate must be very hands architect, design and development experience with both Java and Microsoft .NET technologies.

SOA Developer

Responsibilities

• Architect, Design, Develop SOA framework and services
• Mentoring and Coaching other members of our development team with SOA, .NET, SharePoint BizTalk knowledge
• Work extensively with other members of our development team, using your analytical and problem-solving abilities to push the boundaries and create new solutions
• Analyze business and technical requirements.
• Maintain and enhance existing applications

Experience

SOA Developer (10 years or more experience on .Net / Java development)

General & specific skills

• Experience handling full development cycle of software applications on both Microsoft platform and Java Platform
• Ability to establish priorities and manage multiple projects at the same time.
• Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
• Desire and ability to build high quality enterprise level applications utilizing technologies across all tiers (GUI, application, service, business domain, persistence, and integration)
• Proven systems development background with demonstrated history in a senior programmer / analyst on business software related projects involving complex requirements in a object oriented or server side web environment.
• Experience in developing requirements, module design and application structure.

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team environment but with a demonstrated history of being able to direct own work and act independently.

Windows Communication Framework (WCF) Service Development

• Proven experience building complex system using SOA architecture.
• Developing and deploying a Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) services that is hosted in WAS and IIS7.

Microsoft BizTalk Server Development

3years

Microsoft SharePoint Development

3years

Java Development Experience

5 years

• Proven skills and working experience with Java Web Services Technologies
• JAXB 2.0
• SAAJ
• JSF 1.2
• JSP 2.1
• EJB 3.0

Preferred

XML, XSLT, XPath

TSQL

Knowledge of Transact SQL (TSQL) and experience in implementing complex logic in stored procedures. SQL development Fundamentals (Stored Procedures, Triggers, Views)

Windows Workflow Foundation (WF)

Experience designing and developing workflows using WF

Experience on Java Open Sources

• Hibernate
• Spring Framework

AJAX

Description of the work required and deliverables

• Required an understanding current applications and migrating to SOA platforms
• Required innovative and creative solutions for creating IT agility
• Required accountability for any SOA related or assigned technical issues
• Required quality and accuracy of the work deliverables.

Transfer of Knowledge

Document to any changed methodology and architecture, Provide Training to the internal resources.

Work day is 7 hours, Monday to Friday excluding statutory holidays; working hours are 08 : 30 to 16 : 30 with one hour unpaid lunch.

In case of a production problem there may be an occasional need for overtime or work outside of regularly scheduled hours.
