Engineering Project Manager II

Location : Moncton, New Brunswick

Status : Full time

Reports to : Manager of Engineering for Moncton / Winnipeg / Lac‑Superieur

Position Summary

As an Engineering Project Manager II, you will support the Moncton, Winnipeg and Lac‑Superieur leadership teams in project engineering and operational efficiency. The role requires a self‑starter who excels at complex problem solving, decision‑making, and cross‑functional collaboration. You will lead projects of significant complexity and impact, progressively building expertise toward Project Manager III.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects of varying complexity simultaneously
• Specialize in at least one area (e.g., packaging, cultivation, extraction) and develop expertise in additional areas
• Support manufacturing processes through all lifecycle stages, including conception, design, execution, commissioning, optimization, and troubleshooting
• Lead CAPEX project planning and execution, ensuring budget, schedule, safety, regulatory, and quality requirements are met
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase profitability, reduce waste, and improve efficiency and product quality
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Operations, R&D, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and other departments to provide technical support, including troubleshooting, training, data analysis, and collection
• Develop online tools to improve workflow and data extraction
• Research, select, and install process equipment in collaboration with the R&D department
• Design, source, and implement fixtures, jigs, go / no‑go gauges, Poke Yokes, sensors, and other tools to reduce cost, eliminate failure modes, and optimize production rates
• Perform hands‑on duties, such as assisting with production activities and assembling equipment
• Reduce occurrence and improve detection of failure modes by leveraging PFMEA methodology, root‑cause analysis, and corrective actions
• Support the development of preventative and predictive maintenance criteria
• Develop technical documentation related to existing products, processes, and equipment
• Work flexible hours as business needs require
• Perform other duties as required
