We are seeking a Case Manager working in a full-time permanent position with our client.
Reporting to the District Manager, the Case Manager oversees all aspects of the program for designated physicians within the Vancouver geographical area in hospitals or university settings.
The Case Manager collaborates directly with physicians and their office staff to deliver proactive and seamless program services by continuously assessing their needs.
Regular travel to various healthcare provider offices is a key component of this role (40% of the time). The ultimate goal is to enhance physician satisfaction and improve patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main contact for physicians in the program.
- Educate physicians and staff about program services.
- Provide therapy guidelines and manage reimbursement expectations.
- Review patient charts to complete the necessary paperwork for coverage.
- Assist doctors with Special Authorization forms, enrollments, and prescription renewals.
- Keep physicians updated on their patients' progress.
- Customize program elements based on physician needs.
- Identify risks and promote quality improvements.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate patient care.
- Attend physician meetings with sales reps and Continuous Medical Education events.
- Travel regularly to physician offices.
- Report adverse events and perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) or related degree (e.g., pharmacist, science degree) or equivalent skills.
- Experience in third-party reimbursement, pharmaceutical sales, managed care, or clinical support is beneficial.
- Previous patient support program experience and basic CCPE certification are assets.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Understanding of medical terminology.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze enrollment volume and engage with physicians as a knowledgeable counterpart.
- Strong time management and sense of urgency.
- Effective collaboration with program associates.
- Autonomous work capability in a remote setting.
- Detail-oriented and results-driven.
- Adaptability to change and ambiguity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Availability for Continuous Healthcare Education events outside regular hours.
- Valid driver's license and access to a car.
- Private home office space for company-provided equipment.
