We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental practice . The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team by ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow while providing exceptional patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment. We function in a positive team environment everyday and are seeking a candidate passionate about dental care that can support how we operate.

We offer a FREE Dental Assisting qualified education & NYS License. Experience preferred but not required.

Duties

• Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
• Maintain infection control protocols by following established guidelines for sterilization and disinfection of instruments and equipment.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed, adhering to safety standards.
• Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately in the patient management system.
• Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling as necessary while providing excellent customer service.
• Perform basic administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining patient records using software systems like Dentrix or Epic.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions to promote overall health.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure a positive patient experience throughout their visit.
