THE OPPORTUNITY

Join our team as an Analyst, Compensation, and contribute to the growth of our in-house global compensation capabilities, focusing on Canada, NY, and London.

You'll engage in analysis, administration, and design, while gaining valuable experience in compensation structure and administration for the asset management industry.

This role requires strong analytical and data management skills.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

The Human Resources (HR) department serves as a strategic business partner, providing HR leadership and acting as a trusted advisor on all people-related matters.

The Total Rewards Center of Excellence (COE) oversees the strategic development and administration of compensation, benefits, wellness, global mobility and payroll, working closely with other HR functions to deliver programs that support our employees.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 5+ years of HR / compensation experience, preferably in the asset management industry, with a focus on analytics
  • Advanced knowledge of HRIS and report generation capabilities, including experience with Workday
  • Expertise in data analysis / visualization with advanced MS Excel skills : complex formulas, pivot tables, look-ups, graphs / tables
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines within a fast-paced, team environment
  • Proficient in discreet handling of sensitive personal information and establishing trust
  • Comfortable with direct communication and presentation skills, engaging with multiple stakeholders, including senior leadership
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills to analyze market data, identify gaps, and support compensation design

Preferred :

  • Workday Advanced Compensation Module experience
  • CPHR / CCP designation (or in progress)

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As an Analyst, Compensation, reporting to the Director of Total Rewards, you will :

  • Use problem-solving and decision-making skills to analyze market data, identify gaps, and support compensation design
  • Complete compensation surveys and submissions to market providers
  • Develop and maintain a process for tracking compensation market data
  • Review and analyze survey results, identifying gaps in relation to market
  • Perform cost modeling and forecasting for compensation changes
  • Prepare documentation for year-end Specified Audit Procedures related to compensation
  • Manage the annual salary review process
  • Assist in the year-end incentive plan and bonus calculation process
  • Provide project coordination support to the Compensation Working Group, ensuring governance and reporting
  • Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and automation in standard processes
  • Serve as the point of contact for standard compensation questions
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Workday Advanced Compensation and participate in its implementation

Work from our downtown Victoria office; relocation support is available if needed

SALARY RANGE

BCI offers a competitive total rewards package which includes a performance-based incentive plan, comprehensive health & dental benefits, a defined benefit pension plan and paid time off.

The annualized base salary range for this Victoria-based role is CAD $87,000 to $105,000.

The base salary offered to the successful candidate will consider a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill set, level of experience applicable to the role they are being offered and consideration to internal equity.

We pay our people competitively in the markets in which we compete for talent and with consideration to internal equity and job structure.

We aim for actual pay to be around the median of the market for target or expected levels of performance, and around the upper quartile of the market for excellent performance.

Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, experience and expertise.
