Job Summary :
Reporting to the Director, Business Process Engineer, the Senior Analyst, Business Process is responsible for the design and support of business processes within the Securities and Treasury Operations team.
This role requires comprehensive knowledge of investment products and capital market operations, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
What you will do :
Design trade processing workflows for new investment products and monitor transactions throughout the trade lifecycle.
Perform periodic review and analysis of current processes within the team to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Act as a back-up to the Director in Operational Readiness Committee meetings.
Participate in initiatives related to regulatory changes and perform User Acceptance Testing.
Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure trade details fulfill requirements for all applications and reporting.
Transfer knowledge on new investment products and strategies to the team.
Create and maintain workflows and desktop procedures for knowledge sharing.
Who you are :
Strong knowledge of investment products including equities, bonds, derivatives, etc.
Foundation in capital market operations and Investment Operations processes.
Understanding of related processes such as valuations and accounting.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong business analysis, project management, and time management skills.
Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage conflicting priorities.
Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
High level of initiative and professionalism.
Ability to work independently or in a team setting.
Knowledge of investment systems and trading platforms.
Computer literacy in MS Excel, Visio, and SQL.
University degree in Business or related discipline.
Minimum 7 years’ experience in the financial sector.
Completion or enrolment in a professional designation program (i.e., CFA) is an asset.
Knowledge of investment accounting standards and principles.
