The Senior Embedded Systems Developer will have an exciting opportunity to contribute to our industry-leading consumer audio-visual hardware and software products. Their efforts will contribute directly to the quality of the customer’s experience on consumer electronics products with worldwide distribution.
A Day in the Life
- Software and hardware development for Consumer and Professional audio custom electronic embedded systems
- Develop product system software on microcontroller and ARM based processors
- Ability to debug and bring up electronic prototypes boards
- Implementing software device drivers and other low-level software on embedded systems
- Working as required with external software contractors, quality assurance, UI / UX and technical support teams
- Work with contract manufacturers in Asia during Product development phase
- Occasional domestic and overseas travel may be required
- Other related duties as required
You Bring to the Team
5+ years of experience developing real-time low-level software on MicrocontrollersPost Secondary Education in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.Able to read, interpret and understand electronic schematicsFamiliarity with SPI, I2C HDMI, USB, DDR3, SATA, eSATA and SDIO, I2S, I2C SPIWorking knowledge of Bluetooth audioKnowledge / experience of signal processing is an advantageWorking experience with source control systems such as GIT Lab, SlackStrong problem-solving skillsAbility to work with minimum supervisionExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience of using test equipment (Digital oscilloscopes, DMM, etc) and basic soldering skillsExperience with troubleshooting problems and debugging complex embedded system softwareAbility to code with C , C++, Java , Go Language , Linux , use of Desktop PC / Linux environmentsExperience writing and testing production quality software in a team environmentDevelopment of software for audio / video is an advantageUnderstanding High Resolution Audio is an advantageFamiliarity and interest in relevant technologies for streaming media, Internet radio and music servicesKnowledge of digital audio formats : AAC, WMA, WMA-L, FLAC, ALAC, MP3We’ve got you covered : We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes extended health, prescription, vision and dental coverage, vacation time and more.
