As a Civil Drafter working in the Alternative Projects Centre of Expertise (APEX) team at Pomerleau Construction, you will create innovative models and designs for temporary structures.

Working on large-scale building and infrastructure projects ranging from $ million to upwards of $1 billion - you will produce both 2D and 3D drawings to support on-site component installation, and you will provide technical support and insights during the proposal and estimation phases for new projects.

What You Will Do

  • Produce various documents, including logistics and site installation plans, lifting plans, and work sequences plans.
  • Model temporary structures and produce fabrication drawings (special formwork, pile driving templates, platforms, walkways, temporary bridges, steel structures, cofferdams, temporary supports, etc.).
  • Update models based on actual site data generated from 3D scans.
  • Ensure the quality of completed documents and adhere to project deadlines.
  • Collaborate closely with internal project teams and division to ensure effective communication and knowledge sharing.
  • Perform other tasks related to modeling and plan production.
  • Act as a relevant and credible technical resource for stakeholders.

This role could be for you if you have

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in civil engineering, construction engineering, or related third level qualification. Specialization in modeling or CAD related topics is advantageous.
  • Experience with temporary structures and / or construction engineering.
  • Command of the AutoCAD software program.
  • Knowledge of Revit, Civil 3D, or Tekla is an asset.

The expected salary range for this opportunity is $70,000 - $90,000. Pleasenote that salaries may vary depending on the candidate’s experience andgeographical location.
