What you’ll do The History Department at Capilano University seeks to fill one regular part-time position at an appointment level of four (4) sections. The four section commitment level will be met over three (3) terms. We seek an innovative teacher-scholar to teach a variety of courses at the undergraduate level. We are also seeking an instructor who is willing to design and teach new courses in their area of specialty. Successful candidates will show a strong commitment to mentoring students from a wide range of backgrounds. What you’ll bring Candidates must have a specialization in Canadian history from a continental or transnational perspective. The successful candidate will teach HIST 110 & 111 (first-year Canadian survey courses), and other history courses related to their fields of study and / or teaching experience. A Master’s degree in History is required; a PhD in History (or closely related field) or near-completion at the time of application is preferred.
