What Role You Will Play In Our Team
A Plant Operator opportunity is available at Imperial’s Cold Lake, Alberta location. Cold Lake is located about 294 km northeast of Edmonton, 170 km north of Lloydminster, and 588 km northeast of Calgary. The area offers major amenities without crowds and traffic, world‑class recreational facilities and numerous outdoor activities. This is NOT a fly‑in / out opportunity and camp is not provided. Relocation to the Cold Lake area is required.
As an initial assignment you will train as a member of our operating staff to gain practical hands‑on experience with operating and safety procedures. On‑the‑job experience will be supplemented by additional related formal training. You will work in a heavy oil plant environment and be required to work on your own without direct supervision following the initial training period.
After becoming competent and reaching career level, you may have the opportunity to move into more technical roles such as Control Room Operator, Shift Engineer, Plant Shift Supervisor, Operations Specialist or Safety / Health / Environment Lead.
