The person assigned to this role will be responsible for :
Documentation & Training - Payroll
- Analyze and revise processes to simplify and increase team efficiency.
- Collaborate with the management team, identify needs and coordinate analyst training.
- Provide guidelines and recommendations on complex situations
- Provide training to the payroll team and our partners.
- Propose and support the development of e-learning tools to facilitate the training and support of new analysts.
Project / acquisition - Payroll
- Participate in and contribute to the development of a project related to all identified elements impacting payroll.
- Act as a partner for all stakeholders.
- Perform a complete analysis and provide recommendations to standardize discrepancies related to earnings and allowable deductions.
- Ensure deadlines are met.
- Anticipate the challenges and impacts of projects.
- Provide recommendations on complex situations.
- Support and ensure a rigorous and beneficial transition of the organization's acquisitions and manage exceptions.
Quality control - Payroll
- Carry out analyses of the various problems affecting processes and the employee experience, and proactively identify solutions.
- Develop a dashboard (KPI) by collecting data from internal systems and files.
- Identify trends and provide explanations and recommendations on data variations.
- Establish quality control within the payroll team and the company.
What you'll get out of it :
- Solid technical knowledge of payroll
- Minimum 7 years' experience in payroll (National Payroll Institute certification - an asset)
- Excellent knowledge of the Workday system.
- Knowledge and understanding of learning principles, training methods and techniques.
- Agile to use virtual platforms or support classroom training.
- Excellent verbal / written communication skills.
- Ability to provide training in both official languages.
- Ability to develop, deliver and evaluate a training plan.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate projects within deadlines.
- Ability to prepare training content, learning tools and user guides in document or website format.
- Customer / employee service oriented.
- Ability to summarize complex situations effectively.
- Ability to offer advice and support to team members.
- Ability to produce detailed, technical documents.
- Team player, autonomous and highly organized.
- Bilingualism required (French and English). You will interact regularly with colleagues across the country.
