IMPORTANT NOTES :

• This job will require travel throughout WesternCanada for extended periods.
• This job willrequire working in all types of weatherconditions.
• Repetitive bending and standing forlong period of time lifting and carrying up to 50lbs unassistedrepetitive swinging motions walking on uneven surfaces (approx. 3miles / day)
• Working with hazardous materialssuch as creosote lubricants oil gasoline diesel and regularexposure to dusty conditions
• Continuous regularexposure to loud noise

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

• Must be 18 years orolder
• Be a strong communicator your safety isdependent on it!
• Hold a full valid class 5drivers license)
• Be willing to undergopreemployment testing including a criminal record check drugalcohol and fitness fitforduty testing as a condition ofemployment
• Be willing to work outdoors in alltypes of weather conditions
• Be physically ableto do repetitive bending standing for long periods of time carry upto 50lbs unassisted repetitive swinging motions walking on unevensurfaces (approx. 3 miles / day)

KEYRESPONSIBILITIES :

• Ensuring safety is a priority to self fellowworkers the general public and the assets of the company andfollowing policies and procedures set out by thecompany
• Various loading and unloading of heavymaterials such as tools and equipment (spikes tie plates joint barsetc.) to and from various vehicles andmachine
• Shoveling rocks and dirt for manualgrading of surfaces and clearingballasts
• Clearing railway crossings of brushand tall grass using handheld tools andequipment
• Removal of tie plates from therail
• Snow removal from crossings and rightaways using shovels backpack blowers broomsetc.
• General understanding of how to operatesmall equipment such as but not limited to rail saws drillsgrinders puller air compressor bolter and backpackblower
• General understanding how to operatehand tools such as but not limited to hammers claw bars drift pinscythes brooms shovel pick and track jacks

Job Types : FulltimePermanent

Pay : From $19.00 per hour

Schedule :

• Monday toFriday
• Weekends as needed
