Production Planner Detailer

Position Overview Are you looking to be part of a growing and developing team in an organization that values its people, customers, work, and supply chain?

If so, APEX is currently accepting applications for a Drafting Technologist within its Steel Door Manufacturing Group.

This is a full-time, permanent position reporting to the Group Manager.

The primary role of this position is to plan and organize orders for use in the plant.

Responsibilities: Organize, produce shop drawings and documents for manufacturing use.

Plan projects to maximize productivity in the shop and to customer delivery requirements.

Continuously look for ways to improve the detail on drawings for shop use.

Creating custom designs using Autodesk Inventor.

Qualifications: College diploma (i.e.

PTech, CET), University degree, or the equivalent work experience would be considered an asset.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

A manufacturing or drawing design background.

Background in Autodesk Inventor/Auto CAD, or Avaware.

Strong background in excel.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to work in a fast-changing environment under tight deadlines.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Highly motivated with strong organizational skills & problem-solving abilities.
