The VMware Workspace One Administrator will lead small system design or enhancements to large and complex systems that may impact across branches or departments. This role will consult closely with Dell and internal Support teams to build and manage the creation of packages in the Workspace One solution. They will be accountable for identifying and directly addressing all business and technical issues impacting customer success. They will actively expand adoption of Workspace One solutions within accounts by driving relationships at every level, both internally and externally, to influence positive change, in addition to customer-facing activities.
Responsibilities
- Perform complex end-to-end solution delivery and maintenance for small systems design, or enhancements to large systems.
- Oversee the provision of specialist advice by others, consolidating expertise from multiple sources, including third-party experts, to provide coherent advice to further organizational objectives.
- Provide technical expertise to enable the correct application of operational procedures.
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of maintenance and installation work, including building and configuration of infrastructure components in virtualized environments.
- Maintain application support processes, and check that all requests for support are dealt with according to agreed procedures.
- Initiate and monitor actions to investigate and resolve problems in systems, processes, and services.
- Respond to equipment malfunctions, unusual or other situations that impact system performance, perform diagnostics and other problem-solving activities, and implement remedial procedures as required.
- Provide reports on progress, anomalies, risks, and issues associated with the overall project. Report on system quality and collect metrics on test cases.
- Maintain an ongoing awareness and understanding of new and enhanced technological development. Research current available technologies to meet customer needs.
- Apply tools, techniques, and processes to track, log, and correct information related to configuration items.
- Provide Level 2-3 support for clients and be a point of escalation for our client’s Support Services Operations.
- Knowledge transfer : colleagues, support staff, and customers – includes how-to-documents / presentations and recorded sessions.
Qualifications
This is a permanent position located in Toronto (work from home until deemed safe).
