Job description5+ years of experience in interaction design, product design, or UX with a focus on complex SaaS or enterprise tools. Deep understanding of information architecture, system-level interaction patterns, and user workflow mapping. Ability to simplify multi-step or rule-heavy processes into intuitive user journeys. Strong prototyping skills (Figma, interactive prototypes, or similar tools). Experience collaborating with PMs and engineers in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills—able to articulate design rationale clearly. Strong logical thinking and ability to break down complexity into structured UX solutions. Experience designing for GIS, mapping, or spatial interfaces. Background in real estate, planning, architecture, or data visualization. Experience designing interfaces for AI / LLM-driven features. UnlockLand is building the world’s first AI-powered operating system for real estate development. Our platform automates land analysis, zoning interpretation, and feasibility workflows—traditionally complex, multi-step tasks—and transforms them into clear, intuitive digital experiences.
We’re looking for a Senior Interaction Designer who can architect seamless, intelligent workflows for a complex, data-rich product. You’ll design how users navigate, interact with, and control the entire system—from multi-layered map interfaces to AI‑driven decision flows. This is a high-impact role that will influence thousands of professional users and define how an entire industry transitions into the AI era.
Responsibilities
- Own the interaction design strategy for core UnlockLand modules (mapping, zoning AI, planning, feasibility tools).
- Create user flows, interaction patterns, wireframes, and prototypes for highly technical workflows.
- Translate complex rules, spatial information, and AI outputs into clear, predictable user experiences.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to turn interaction concepts into implementation-ready specs.
- Conduct usability studies and refine interactive behaviors based on user insights.
- Design interaction patterns that ensure consistency, scalability, and clarity across the product.
- Explore and define how AI should behave in the interface—prompts, autonomous actions, system feedback, and decision explanations.
- Mentor other designers and elevate the overall product design quality.
