Supports the development and revision of courses and programs for Open Learning.
Tracks student progress through programs and coordinates logistics of clinical rotations.
Monitors courses and programs, and recommends change where appropriate.
Develops program information for students and industry.
Supports the Associate Dean in the creation of partnerships, articulation, accreditation agreements and coordinates the signing of educational contracts for TRU-OL and with external agencies, and recommends change where appropriate to the TRU Legal Department.
Maintains contact with appropriate TRU staff, industry or business contacts in order to represent programs and courses, as well as to identify new delivery opportunities.
Networks and recruits at provincial and national conferences.
Prepares program reports for advisory, accreditation and faculty meetings.
Approves student admission documents for relevant programs.
Analyzes transcripts for transfer credit and PLAR credit for relevant courses.
Ensures policies and procedures for program entry requirements are met, and approves selected exceptions to policies such as program extensions.
Problem solves program and student issues with relevant stakeholders to achieve workable solutions.
Analyzes and initiates program improvements for program curriculum and procedures to ensure professional compliance in collaboration with the Academic Director or delegate.
Develops processes for adding and improving clinical placements.
Schedules, coordinates and reviews the work of workshop faculty members.
Provides on-the-job guidance and handles difficulties arising from the work of workshop faculty members, admissions and advisors of relevant programs.
Recruits and selects membership for program advisories.
Decides on marketing materials for different market segments.
Monitors budget for health science programs.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION :
Relevant four (4) year Health Care or Education related University degree
EXPERIENCE :
Two years of experience with course and / or program development including :
experience in industry networking
experience in delivery of educational programming and curriculum planning on campus and by distance
experience in program administration, recruitment, and program assessment

The salary for the above position is determined by the Collective Agreement with the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 4879, as it presently exists.
