Position : Training Specialist / Trainer (Public Safety / First Responder Systems)
Location : Ontario (Onsite Province-wide Travel Required)
Duration : 500 Business Days
Responsibilities
Develop and deliver a province-wide training strategy and rollout plan for operational and first responder environments
Provide training to technical and non-technical users across Ontario
Create training materials, user guides, and documentation, preferably for healthcare environments
Develop and manage training project plans and schedules
Plan and manage complex province-wide training programs
Deliver classroom, virtual, and hands-on system training
Support training initiatives related to PSRN (Public Safety Radio Network)
Coordinate with large project teams and stakeholders
Ensure training quality, consistency, and effectiveness
Travel frequently within Ontario to support training delivery
Experience and Skill Set Requirements
Training Experience (40%)
Experience developing and delivering province / nation-wide training strategies
5+ years of experience as a Trainer (Land Ambulance Dispatch, or Paramedic Services preferred)
Experience training technical and non-technical users
Experience creating training materials and user documentation
Experience managing training schedules and project plans
Proven ability to manage complex province-wide schedules
Experience working on the PSRN project
Technical Experience (35%)
Experience with Public Safety equipment systems, including Public Safety Radio Network
Experience with telecom and dispatch systems
Analytic and Communication / General Skills (20%)
Experience designing and delivering training materials
Knowledge of training platforms and systems
Knowledge of radio / telephone systems, GIS, spatial mapping, and AVL
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
Ability to communicate with all organizational levels
Strong teamwork and deadline management skills
Valid Ontario G-Class driver s license (or equivalent)
Ability to travel frequently for extended periods
Experience working with large project teams
Industry Experience (5%)
Experience delivering training in 24x7 critical environments
Experience in land ambulance sector (asset)
Knowledge of Public Safety (Police, Ambulance, Fire)
Knowledge of Emergency Health Services or Healthcare (asset)
