Summer Students – GIS Traffic Signals and Systems

Work within the City’s GIS and mapping system using ArcGIS Pro to consolidate and integrate electrical infrastructure data from as‑built drawings and various sources of existing GIS data. Interpret and digitize electrical as‑built drawings, validate spatial accuracy, and reconcile discrepancies between historical records and current GIS information to enhance the accuracy and reliability of the City’s corporate electrical GIS layers, particularly for underground streetlight assets.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate and integrate electrical infrastructure data into the City’s corporate GIS layers.
• Interpret and digitize electrical as‑built drawings and validate spatial accuracy.
• Reconcile discrepancies between historical records and current GIS information.

CUPE bargaining unit with hourly rate $24.27 per hour plus 14% in lieu of benefits, vacation and statutory holidays.
