Job descriptionAble to perform MIG welding. Able to read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications. Able to communicate professionally, verbally, and in writing, with team members and customers. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Able to work independently, shift priorities as needed, and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail. 2+ years of experience of welding (MIG). Previous experience welding aluminum. Experience using hand tools and performing routine maintenance operations. High school diploma or equivalent required. Able to safely operate hand tools and utilize required PPE. Able to safely lift up to 50lbs. Overtime as required.
Description
The position of Welder includes, but is not limited to, production welding, service & repair welding, prototype building, and fitter welding. Previous experience welding aluminum is required. Responsibilities will include repairs, the fabrication of custom prototypes from supplied drawings, fabrication of custom jigs and fixtures to produce production parts that meet customer specifications, as well as the fabrication of metal structures using jigs and fixtures in a high‑paced production environment.
Responsibilities
- Welding according to pre-set parameters using MIG welding processes.
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW).
- Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
- Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening and bending machines.
- Monitor parts usage and report on any material issues.
- Work with the Design department and provide input on manufacturability of designs.
- Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects.
- Perform other duties as needed.
