Job description

Company Overview:

Role Summary:

We are seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join our team on a variety of industrial small-cap construction projects in Estevan, SK.

In this role, you will install and maintain electrical systems, assist with equipment placement, build cable tray and conduit systems, pull and terminate cables, and complete quality assurance checks and redline documentation to support successful project execution.

This project is expected to run through the end of November, with opportunities for continued employment on other projects in the area thereafter.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install electrical systems, equipment, and components.
  • Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Ensure all work complies with electrical code, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
  • Test electrical systems using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Collaborate with other trades and contractors on job sites.
  • Complete documentation, work orders, and reports as required.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Valid Journeyperson Electrician Certificate (Red Seal certification preferred)
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial construction electrical work
  • Standard CSTS 2020, CSO and First Aid
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and OH&S requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
  • Proficient with hand tools, testing devices, and electrical equipment
  • Valid driver's license
  • Flexible availability for shift work, overtime, and weekends, with a strong focus on safety and self-direction
  • Ability to work in various environments, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Shift: 5 days on / 2 days off (5/2)
  • Hours: 10-hour days, with 2 hours of overtime available daily.
  • LOA: $200 per day
  • Travel Allowance: $400
  • Competitive hourly wages of $45/hour for Journeyman Electrician
  • Overtime opportunities paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate
  • Comprehensive extended health benefits after 3 months, including dental and vision coverage, physiotherapy, massage therapy and mental health support, etc.
