About the role
Holy Spirit Catholic School, Cranbrook is seeking multiple dedicated School Officer - Assisting Student Learning (ASL) . These roles are term time, fixed term positions and will commence from 22 April 2025 for the remainder of the 2025 school year.

- School Officer - ASL - 25 Hours per week
The School Officer – Assisting Student Learning (ASL) works under the direction and supervision of a teacher to provide learning and classroom support to all students including students who have identified additional needs to access and participate in schooling.
Typical Duties
The typical duties of the role may include :
a. Providing support to individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to participate in learning and school activities
b. Assisting students (either individually or in groups) with specific learning needs including scribing, reading, which may include providing feedback and observations to the classroom teacher(s)
c. Assisting in the support of student engagement by reinforcing appropriate student behaviour
d. Providing practical assistance to students in using classroom technology
e. Performing administrative tasks of record maintenance, producing resources (eg. Printing, laminating etc) and other classroom administrative support
f. Assisting in the maintenance of a clean and tidy classroom environment including storage facilities and assisting in setting up appropriate classroom / learning space
g. Providing routine support to students in relation to their physical needs (eg. mobility support) and personal care (eg. toileting, feeding)
