Magris Talc is a leading talc producer operating mines and processing plants in the United States and Canada. We are currently looking to fill a position for a blended AZ Driver / Mill Operator role.

Please note that this position is located at our Penhorwood Mill & Concentrator which is located approximately 70km west of Timmins towards Foleyet. Selected applicants will be responsible for their own transportation to and from the site on a daily basis. Travel allowance is provided.

Job Summary / Purpose :

The preferred candidate for this position will have the qualifications for both AZ driver and Mill Operator 2 however the Company may provide necessary training within the classification depending on the current status of Operational needs and requirements.

This individual must have the flexibility and competency to perform all required tasks in both hauling and mill operations when required.

Job Requirements :

• Class AZ license with air brake endorsement.
• Mechanical abilities and knowledge.
• Knowledge of mill flotation processes
• Heavy Equipment experience (back-hoe, loader, grater)
• Lab testing and Quality Control experience
• Ability to work in the mill collecting samples from the circuits, lab testing, crusher / loader operation, basic routing maintenance duties, housekeeping and other assigned duties.
• 1 to 2 years equivalent combination of education and experience would be preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated problem solving ability and be able to follow detailed procedures and work alone or as a team.
• Computer literate : Windows, MS Office, Excel and ability to learn other company software programs directly related to data entry, process equipment, etc.
