Your Role as a Mechanical Engineer:

Choose your own adventure! Let’s talk about how your skills, experience, goals, and passions can find a home at JLR. As a Mechanical Engineer, your role will include:

  • Working and collaborating with an established, integrated technical team of engineers, technologists and support staff on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Providing technical mechanical expertise for engineering studies and condition assessments.
  • Applying engineering fundamentals and tools to design mechanical systems.
  • Coordinating with designers to optimize general arrangements, equipment selection, piping, and ductwork layouts.
  • Reviewing and recommending technical designs, specifications, and reports.
  • Assisting project managers, engineers, and technologists with project execution during all project phases.
  • Communicating effectively with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Participating in the preparation of proposals and the development of estimates for engineering services.
  • Mentoring junior engineers, engineering graduates, and technologists.
  • Completing site reviews during construction and reporting on observations.
