As we continue to expand, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Contract Recruiter to help us grow our network of independent owner operators.

Job Description:

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Recruiter to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to identify, attract, and onboard independent owner operators for expedited delivery services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in recruiting within the transportation or logistics industry and a keen understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of independent owner operators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing & Outreach: Proactively source and engage with potential independent owner operators through various channels including online job boards, social media, industry events, and referrals.
  • Screening & Assessment: Conduct thorough screenings and assessments to ensure candidates meet our qualifications and standards.
  • Onboarding: Facilitate the onboarding process, ensuring all necessary paperwork, background checks, and compliance requirements are completed efficiently.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, providing a positive experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Market Insights: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and best practices in recruiting independent owner operators.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in recruiting, preferably within the transportation or logistics industry.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of the expedited delivery market and the specific needs of independent owner operators.
  • Technology: Proficient in using recruitment software, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and other relevant tools.
  • Availability: Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate different time zones and candidate schedules.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with independent owner operators.
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proven track record of meeting recruitment targets and deadlines.

Compensation:

  • Competitive hourly rate or project-based compensation, commensurate with experience.
  • Potential for bonuses based on successful placements and recruitment milestones.
