What we are hiring for:

We are currently hiring a regular full-time Direct Support Professional for our Supported Independent Living programs in Petrolia and Sarnia, Ontario.

Direct Support Professionals make a difference in people's lives by providing support to people with developmental disabilities in all activities of daily living in their homes and the community and by fostering independence and personal growth. In conjunction with the person, their team and family/friends, Direct Support Professionals are responsible for planning and overseeing provision of support, along with creating skill development opportunities for people supported in aspiration to reach their life goals.


What you will need:

Valid "G or G2" class license and reliable vehicle

Be willing to provide a clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check

Be legally entitled to work in Canada

Current certification in First Aid/CPR required

Current certification in NVCPI or willing to obtain

Experience working with people with developmental disabilities is an asset

Knowledge and experience supporting people with mental health/illness

Adaptable to varying support needs

Mental Health First Aid and Trauma Informed Care an asset

Knowledge of community resources an asset

Compensation and scheduling:

  • $23.59 - $24.28 per hour based on experience
  • Full-time 40 hours per week including days, afternoons, weekends or nights
