About the Role:

The Showroom Decorator PT Hourly plays a crucial role in creating an inviting and aesthetically pleasing environment that enhances the customer experience and showcases products effectively. This position involves designing and arranging showroom displays that align with brand standards and seasonal themes, ensuring that each presentation attracts and engages visitors. The decorator collaborates closely with sales and marketing teams to understand product features and promotional goals, translating these into compelling visual arrangements. Attention to detail and creativity are essential to maintain a fresh and dynamic showroom atmosphere that drives customer interest and sales. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to the overall success of the showroom by elevating the visual appeal and supporting the brand’s image in the Canadian market.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in interior decorating, visual merchandising, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of design principles, color theory, and spatial arrangement.
  • Ability to work part-time hours with flexibility to accommodate showroom needs.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Formal education or certification in interior design, visual merchandising, or related disciplines.
  • Experience working in retail or showroom environments.
  • Familiarity with current design trends and customer preferences in the Canadian market.
  • Proficiency with design software or digital tools for layout planning.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement attractive showroom displays that highlight products and seasonal promotions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the showroom to ensure a welcoming environment for customers.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align displays with current campaigns and product launches.
  • Regularly update and refresh showroom decor to keep the presentation current and engaging.
  • Monitor inventory of decorative materials and coordinate with suppliers to replenish as needed.
  • Assist in setting up special event displays and promotional setups within the showroom.
  • Ensure all displays comply with safety standards and company policies.

Skills:

The required skills such as attention to detail and knowledge of design principles are applied daily to create visually appealing and functional showroom layouts that attract customers. Organizational skills help manage materials and maintain a tidy environment, ensuring displays are always showroom-ready. Preferred skills like proficiency with design software enable the decorator to plan and visualize arrangements before implementation, increasing efficiency and creativity. Communication skills facilitate collaboration with sales and marketing teams to align visual presentations with business objectives. Together, these skills ensure the showroom remains a dynamic and engaging space that supports brand identity and drives customer engagement.
