Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Job Description
Join our dynamic team as an Electrical Engineer specializing in naval systems, you will develop and review technical documentation, manage electrical design changes, and provide technical support for electrical and electronic systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and review electrical and electronic system technical documentation, including equipment specifications and installation instructions.
- Perform life cycle and material management functions, including investigating equipment obsolescence and material compatibility issues.
- Provide technical support for deficiencies in equipment or capabilities.
- Conduct technical investigations into electrical system, equipment, and software issues, including root cause analyses and risk assessments.
- Manage the preparation of electrical design change documentation, such as manufacturing drawings and maintenance instructions.
- Analyze requirements related to baseline changes in ship configuration, equipment, and software.
- Conduct electrical load design calculations.
- Prepare work packages and cost estimates.
- Prepare documented work scopes for soliciting quotations from external resources.
- Develop engineering plans, processes, and procedures related to combat systems and ship-based software.
- Define, develop, and maintain software configuration documentation.
Essential Skills
- Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
- Marine/Naval experience.
- Experience in electrical engineering, AutoCAD, electronics, and electrical schematic design.
- Familiarity with CAD experience and electronics assembly.
Assets
- (Professional Engineer) certificate (eligible).
- Experience supporting the Royal Canadian Navy/Canadian Coast Guard.
- Experience supporting ISS (In Service Support) programs.
- Proficiency in Jira and Life Cycle Material Management (LCMM).
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role requiring three days per week on-site in Dartmouth, NS.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $49.00/hr.
