Our ideal Sales Manager will live, breathe and be passionate about cars and the automotive industry. You’ll have proven success in managing and leading people within a car dealership. You’ll know the sales cycle like the back of your hand. A successful automotive sales manager should have exceptional interpersonal skills, the ability to motivate and lead a team, in-depth knowledge of the automotive industry, and a track record of achieving sales targets.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies : The Sales Manager is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies that align with the dealership's goals and objectives.
- Manage the sales team : The Sales Manager is responsible for managing and leading the sales team, which includes recruiting, training, coaching, and motivating team members to achieve their targets.
- Achieve revenue targets through sales volume : The Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by increasing sales volume and profitability for the dealership.
- Build and maintain customer relationships : The Sales Manager is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, ensuring they receive excellent service and support throughout the sales process.
- Forecast sales and monitor performance : The Sales Manager is responsible for forecasting sales and monitoring performance against targets, using data and metrics to identify areas for improvement.

Measurables :
Commission Payment :
As an Independent Contractor, you will be paid a combination of a monthly commission payment guarantee plus a variable commission payment plan. Provided you hit your targets, our Product Advisors can make anywhere between $100,000 to $185,000 annually. As an Independent Contractor, you are responsible for setting up your own Sole Proprietorship and registering to have a GST number. After which you are responsible for paying your yearly taxes as a Sole Proprietorship (or Corporation, if you so choose). It is generally advisable that you connect with a Tax professional to receive advice on how to handle this from the beginning of your contract with Applewood.
