As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will play an important role in identifying potential security concerns before they escalate. You will monitor surveillance systems, observe activity, identify unusual or suspicious behaviour, and respond or report appropriately when required.
You may work in a variety of environments, including security operation centres, call centres, construction sites, parking lots, gatehouses, and other client locations.
If you are observant, detail-oriented, reliable, and able to stay focused in a fast-paced environment, this role provides an opportunity to put those skills to work while helping maintain a safe and secure environment.
Competitive hourly wage of $18.00 per hour

The opportunity to gain valuable experience in surveillance, security, access control, and incident reporting
Monitor CCTV, surveillance, and security systems to identify suspicious activity, security concerns, and potential threats.
Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, and potential security risks.
Maintain detailed and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and documentation of all significant observations.
Conduct regular foot patrols to maintain a visible security presence and help ensure the safety and security of the premises.
Control access to secure areas by verifying visitor identification, credentials, and authorization.
Identify and report unusual, unsafe, or suspicious situations, taking appropriate action in accordance with site procedures.
Monitor security systems for vulnerabilities, malfunctions, or irregularities and report concerns promptly.
Work collaboratively with law enforcement and emergency services when serious incidents or emergencies occur.
Maintain a professional, alert, and customer-focused presence while interacting with employees, visitors, contractors, and site personnel.
Be legally authorized to work in Canada.
Able to get a Security Guard Licence.
Hold a valid First Aid Certificate.
Have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to complete clear and detailed security reports.
Have strong observation skills, good eyesight, and the ability to maintain focus and attention to detail for extended periods.
Be comfortable using computers, CCTV, surveillance systems, and other security technology.
Be able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift, including during regular foot patrols.
Be reliable, professional, and able to work independently.
Have flexible availability to work casual, as-needed shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
