The Fitness Class Instructor reports to the General Manager and ensures a best-in-class fitness class experience for members through engaging and high-quality fitness classes. The instructor is responsible for member retention and satisfaction, adherence to company policies, and exemplifying the company's culture and values.
Responsibilities :
- Arrive on time to welcome participants, answer questions, and start classes promptly.
- Clean all equipment and shared touchpoints used before and after each class, and instruct participants to do the same.
- Conduct fitness classes according to designated formats, modifying exercises as needed to meet participants' needs.
- Demonstrate proper exercise techniques and safe equipment use, enforce safety policies, and perform first aid when necessary.
- Address member concerns promptly following company policies and report incidents to the General Manager.
- Immediately address cleanliness, health, safety concerns, and incidents, reporting them as required.
- Participate in internal fitness education programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Build strong relationships with other departments such as member service and personal training.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
