WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Reporting to the Director of Surgical Services, Women and Children and Ambulatory, the Manager will be responsible for providing leadership for the Operating Rooms (OR) and Endoscopy Suites, Post Anesthetic Care Unit (PACU) and Outpatient Services (OPS). The Manager will demonstrate strong critical thinking and innovative leadership style for the delivery of high‑quality patient care within the OR / PACU / OPS. This role includes creating a supportive environment for our patients, staff and physicians while facilitating inter‑professional team development and respect. This position will concentrate on the management of staff, increased operational efficiencies, and aims to perform within budgetary limits in the most effective and efficient manner. The Manager will lead with quality as a focus within the OR / PACU / OPS, managing and analyzing budgets; capital requests, controlling inventory levels, supporting equipment / supply procurement, and planning material resources. The Manager will be responsible for developing and providing business continuity planning, while maximizing the use of resources and has the ability to inspire others to work toward a common goal by engaging and empowering staff.

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Degree or an undergraduate degree in a related field required
- Current certificate of registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressive leadership experience, preference given to those currently working in an acute surgical suite environment
- Demonstrates ability to utilize clinical and leadership skills to guide the day-to-day clinical business
- Demonstrated experience in program development and evaluation, quality improvement
- Demonstrated evidence‑based decision making, critical thinking and problem solving
- Demonstrated leadership, team development, and facilitation skills coupled with emotional intelligence
- Demonstrates STEGH’s core values and aligned with STEGH’s Code of Conduct
- Demonstrated learning agility and commitment to professional development and the development of others
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a wide range of professionals
- Ability to implement leading practice and familiarity with quality‑based programming

- Ability to attend work on a regular basis in accordance with the Attendance Support Program
WHAT WE PREFER YOU TO HAVE
HOURS
The successful candidate will work Monday - Friday (37.5 hours weekly) with a willingness to adjust their schedule to meet the needs of the Hospital. This position is also required to participate in the leadership on‑call rotation.
