With decades of cutting‑edge expertise, we’ve built a powerful legacy in noise, acoustics, and vibration and grown into a global leader with nearly 100 specialists around the world. Our diverse, highly skilled team brings RWDI’s core values to life—innovation, integrity, and integration—driving impactful solutions for communities and clients everywhere.

About the Position:
RWDI is seeking an energetic and motivated individual to join and contribute to our Environmental Noise & Vibration team in Ontario as a Senior Scientist/Engineer. This role supports clients across the buildings, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, with deep expertise in environmental permitting and the land use planning process in Ontario. Depending on experience and interest, the successful applicant may also be considered for a supervisory position within the team.

Key Responsibilities

The role includes but is not limited to:
  • Participating in peer and design reviews, land use planning, EASR/ECA submissions, and hearing preparation.
  • Maintaining a client-focused approach, using your technical expertise to support the success of client projects.
  • Working closely with junior staff to advance their knowledge and abilities.
  • Support field measurement programs and data analysis as required.
  • Applying best practices and in-depth knowledge of the Ontario regulatory environment to support RWDI’s clients.
  • Contributing to environmental assessments and related documentation.
  • Depending on aptitude and interest, the successful candidate may be considered for a supervisory role within the team.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

We are accepting applications from candidates with the following qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant engineering discipline, with eligibility for P.Eng registration with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) is preferred.
  • Candidates without P.Eng eligibility but with significant, relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Environmental Noise and Vibration.
  • Availability to work in person at our office in Guelph, ON.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

The following attributes are seen as assets for this position:
  • A background and interest in coding, particularly in Python
  • An interest in electronics and instrumentation
The Environmental Noise & Vibration team is a dynamic, tight‑knit group of people who genuinely love working together to solve difficult problems. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, brings strong people and teamwork skills, and can confidently chart their own course when working independently. In this high‑performing team, you’ll juggle multiple exciting projects, manage your time with precision, and jump into challenges with curiosity and initiative.

If you’re a proactive problem‑solver who enjoys learning, growing, and making an impact, you’ll feel right at home here.

If you possess 80% of the qualifications listed, please apply since you may have additional skills that would align well with this role.
