Our service and support extends well beyond our own facility with a road service crew to address the customers needs on site. We pride ourselves on not just addressing customer needs but continually surpassing them. Fire, Police & Public Works Departments look to MTC for all their electronic repair and installation needs.
We are currently recruiting for a full-time Automotive Installer to join our upfitting team at MTC!
Duties and Responsibilities
- Installing all equipment necessary to modify brand-new vehicles into police and emergency vehicles. This includes routing and installing wire harnesses, controllers, partitions, auxiliary batteries, light bars, push bumpers, power supplies, component trays, and consoles.
- Installation and commissioning of various types of vehicle systems
- Install electrical wiring, connect electrical fittings, drill holes, soldering and perform all physical tasks associated with modifying vehicles for the acceptance of emergency-related equipment
- System diagnostics and troubleshooting skills
- Installation and removal of all equipment on emergency vehicles, reinstalling interior trim, retrofitting and upgrading
- Develop wiring routes throughout the vehicle for the most efficient wiring path and enable future replacement and / or troubleshooting
- Work with customer and fleets on site
