Education : Earned doctorate degree. Tasks : Diagnose any behaviour disorders. Examine the behaviour. Provide therapy. Counsel individuals and groups to achieve more effective personal, social and vocational development and adjustment. Apply psychological theory and principles regarding behaviour and mental processes. Maintain accurate records. Plan intervention programs. Administer standard psychological tests for assessment. Interpret test results. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Provincial or territorial Psychologist's Certificate of Registration. Membership in a provincial or territorial psychological association. Type of treatment experience : Behaviour modification or behavioural therapy. Cognitive therapy. Psychotherapy. Security and safety : Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities : Attention to detail. Personal suitability : Client focus. Dependability. Efficient interpersonal skills.
