JOB SYNOPSIS:

The Bar Supervisor at Whitewater is a hard-working team player who has a passion for customer service and food & beverage operations within the ski industry. In this position the Supervisor will direct and schedule Coal Oil Johnny’s Pub staff as well as manage inventory of all relevant products and supplies. The primary goal is to ensure that guests have an enjoyable and memorable experience in our full-service pub. Working closely with the Front of House and kitchen team to ensure a great customer experience to all guests in the day lodge.

IMMEDIATE REPORTS:

  • Bar Assistant Supervisor
  • Bartender/Server

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Order, receive and maintain inventory for all bar supplies and ensure appropriate amounts of beer and liquor are kept on site.
  • Hire, supervise and schedule the bar staff and ensure sufficient staffing levels
  • Ensure the terms and conditions of Liquor License agreement are followed
  • Provide friendly, efficient service to lounge guests while maintaining Serving It Right principles
  • Maintain clean, organized work area: bar, tables, and storage areas
  • Accurate cash handling throughout the day and daily cash reconciliation
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen to ensure smooth food service
  • Implement all Whitewater policies and procedures
  • Set up and teardown of the pub, pre and post season
  • Resolve customer complaints as well as any internal conflicts between staff
  • Participate in supervisor and department meetings as scheduled.
  • Ensure practice of health and safety regulations are followed
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Champion a sustainable approach in daily operations, planning, and development.
  • Promote Whitewater’s safety culture by reviewing but not limited to: Department Manuals, Employee Handbook.
  • Work to achieve department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assist in achieving organizational goals.
  • Embrace, promote and follow Whitewater’s mission statement and values.
  • Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required from time to time.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION:

  • 2 years’ experience supervising at a table service food and beverage establishment.
  • Knowledge of Auphan an asset.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Current Serving it Right.
  • Current Criminal Records Check
  • Must be willing to travel to the mountain and work weekends and holidays as required.
