About the position: The Account Manager is responsible for implementing strategies to drive profitable growth for Univar Solutions’ business. This person promotes Univar Solutions' product portfolio, builds and maintains long‑term business relationships through regular in‑person meetings, and identifies new sales opportunities. They also work to grow revenue with existing customers while actively seeking out new business partners. #LI-VL1 #LI-Hybrid

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with clients and develop new opportunities.
  • Grow Univar Solutions’ presence by prospecting and acquiring new customers.
  • Understand the technical and regulatory factors influencing purchasing decisions.
  • Coordinate prospecting activities, service, and follow‑ups with internal teams.
  • Attend industry events to strengthen the company’s visibility.
  • Conduct client visits, negotiate contracts, and close profitable deals.
  • Identify and develop opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Prepare sales forecasts and contribute to commercial strategies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for account management.
  • Represent Univar Solutions professionally.
  • Update the opportunity pipeline and customer information in Salesforce.
  • Meet weekly and monthly reporting requirements.
  • Present customer demand forecasts to Product Managers.
  • Keep product knowledge up to date and follow portfolio developments.
  • Stay informed about changes or updates to the product portfolio.
  • Stay current on market trends and developments.
  • Perform any other related duties.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in a related field (i.e. Business, Engineering, Chemistry).
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in account management.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Asset: experience in technical sales or technical knowledge in the chemical industry.
  • Self‑driven, dynamic, passionate, and customer‑focused individual.
