Job description

Brandt Truck & Trailer (BT&T) is looking for a Scheduler/Chassis Coordinator for our Nisku, AB Manufacturing location. This position is responsible for optimizing the schedule for BT&T Manufacturing by working with the manufacturing manager, the chassis vendors and other key vendors. Maintain clear communication and statuses with the suppliers and the internal customers to improve scheduling efficiency and reduce chassis dwell time through the complete upfitting. They are also responsible for the specifications for the chassis with the vendors.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Scheduling of all builds and chassis specifications accuracy etc.
  • Scheduling of all designs, manufacturing parts, and chassis for just in time delivery to mate up with the chassis
  • Scheduling sub-contractors involved in the manufacturing process
  • Scheduling purchased components to have equipment arrive just in time to reduce chassis dwell time
  • Manage the specifications and OEM change orders with all chassis OEM’s keeping schedule and cost reduction efforts as priority
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Knowledge of commonly-used practices and equipment used in manufacturing
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be familiar with quality and lean principles
  • Must be well-organized and capable of multi-tasking
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A background with class 8 trucks and trailers
  • Class 3 or higher drivers license with air brakes endorsement considered an asset
