Environmental/Administration Intern
AECOMYellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada- Temporary
AECOM is seeking an Environmental/Administration Intern based out of our Yellowknife office.
This position is expected to begin in May 2026 and will be a six-month term position.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Supporting environmental field investigations, including the field sampling of various media potentially including soil, surface water, groundwater and more.
Field work will occasionally require:
Flying on charter aircraft including float planes and helicopters.
Moderate-to-heavy physical exertion.
Work periods that extend beyond an eight-hour workday or require working on weekends
Working from boats and use of all-terrain vehicles.
Contribution to the development of investigation workplans and health and safety plans.
Assessment of field data and technical reporting.
Supporting municipal works, which may include surveying assistance.
Other duties as assigned.
Our internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional. Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalency.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current enrollment or completion of a science or technical certificate or degree program, or completion of ECO Canada BEAHR Training or similar.
Experience with remote site logistics.
Solid written and spoken communication skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Valid Drivers’ License
